Step directly from the house onto trails that wind across fields, through lush valleys and alpine meadows. Discover paths for all levels, from family-friendly walks along Lake Bohinj, through the Mostnica Gorge, up to the low-lying alpine pastures of Blato and further on to the Triglav Lakes Valley. Experienced mountaineers can make challenging ascents towards the soaring peaks, even Slovenia’s highest mountain, Triglav (2964m). Each trail offers stunning vistas and the chance to connect deeply with the pristine natural environment.
The Juliana Trail is a long-distance hiking route through the Julian Alps, spanning 16 stages and approximately 270 kilometers. It connects Bohinj with Triglav National Park, the Soča Valley, Kranjska Gora, and other iconic mountains, valleys, and alpine villages. Designed for multi-day treks, the trail showcases the region’s breathtaking landscapes, traditional culture, and diverse natural beauty, offering hikers an unforgettable journey through the heart of Slovenia’s mountains.
The sparkling waters of Lake Bohinj and the Sava Bohinjka River provide endless fun for water lovers. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, or stand-up paddleboarding, or seek thrills with rafting and canyoning adventures through waterfalls, natural slides, and crystal-clear pools.
